Bishop Enos C. Gardiner

Bishop Enos Gardiner is a native of Turks & Caicos Island and spent his teen years in the Bahamas Island.  In 1972 while attending college in Cleveland, Tenn., he received Christ as his Savior.  While in college there, Bishop Gardiner accepted his call into the ministry and joined the Church of God of Prophecy.   He was ordained a minister in 1974 and as a bishop in 1984.
Bishop Gardiner has served as the Pastor of the Roxbury Congregation since 1990.   Prior to assuming this position, he pastured the church’s Brockton, Mass. congregation as well as congregations in Charleston, Miss. and Wynn, Arkansas.   Bishop Gardiner is the past Overseer of the churches in Mass. & Rhode, a position he held for 12 twelve years.  He currently serves on the church's  international committee on polity and doctrine.  He is actively involved in the community and is a member of several clergy and interfaith organizations. 

Bishop Gardiner is a 1984 graduate of Mississippi Baptist Seminary (Jackson, Miss.), and holds an honorary doctorate from Maryland Theological Seminary and College (Baltimore, Maryland).    In 2000 he graduated from the Urban Fellows Program at Harvard University's School of Divinity (Cambridge, Mass.).  He has also attended Harvard University's Summer Leadership Institute at the Center for the Study of Values in Public Life.  He holds a Master’s of Art in Urban Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Boston, Mass.).   He has an Associate Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains, and serves as a staff chaplain at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.  

Serving with Bishop Gardiner in ministry is his wife, Evelyn, also an ordained minister, who is the church’s Director of Evangelism & Discipleship.   They have one daughter, Cecile Wilson, who along with her husband, Marlon, has blessed them with two grandsons, Naeem and Amari.
